Focus and Scope
Jurnal Abdi Pendidikan dan Sosial Masyarakat (JAPSOM) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari berbagai disiplin ilmu. Jurnal ini bertujuan menjadi wadah diseminasi hasil-hasil pengabdian yang memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi masyarakat, baik dalam aspek pendidikan, sosial, ekonomi, lingkungan, kesehatan, teknologi, maupun bidang lainnya.
Ruang lingkup JAPSOM meliputi, tetapi tidak terbatas pada:
Pengabdian di bidang pendidikan, seperti pelatihan guru, pengembangan media pembelajaran, literasi digital, dan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran.
Kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam bidang sosial dan budaya, seperti pelestarian budaya lokal, penguatan komunitas, dan advokasi sosial.
Program pengabdian di bidang kesehatan masyarakat, seperti promosi kesehatan, pencegahan penyakit, serta peningkatan layanan kesehatan berbasis masyarakat.
Pengembangan dan penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi untuk memecahkan permasalahan di masyarakat, termasuk teknologi tepat guna.
Pengabdian di bidang ekonomi dan kewirausahaan, seperti penguatan UMKM, literasi keuangan, dan inovasi ekonomi berbasis lokal.
Penguatan tata kelola dan kebijakan berbasis komunitas di tingkat lokal maupun regional.
Kegiatan kolaboratif lintas disiplin yang menghasilkan solusi integratif bagi permasalahan masyarakat.
Jurnal ini menerima naskah dari akademisi, peneliti, praktisi, maupun pemerhati masyarakat yang aktif melakukan kegiatan pengabdian berbasis riset dan partisipatif.
Jurnal Abdi Pendidikan dan Sosial Masyarakat (JAPSOM) is a scientific journal that publishes the results of community service activities from various academic disciplines. This journal aims to serve as a platform for disseminating community engagement outcomes that provide tangible contributions to society across the fields of education, social affairs, economy, environment, health, technology, and others.
The scope of JAPSOM includes, but is not limited to:
Community service in the field of education, such as teacher training, development of learning media, digital literacy, and improving learning quality.
Empowerment activities in social and cultural sectors, such as local cultural preservation, community strengthening, and social advocacy.
Programs in public health, including health promotion, disease prevention, and community-based health services.
Development and application of science and technology to address societal problems, including appropriate technology.
Community engagement in economics and entrepreneurship, such as MSME development, financial literacy, and local-based economic innovations.
Strengthening of governance and policy at the community level, both local and regional.
Interdisciplinary collaborative activities that produce integrative solutions for community challenges.
This journal welcomes manuscripts from academics, researchers, practitioners, and community activists actively engaged in research-based and participatory community service.

Peer Review Process
Jurnal Abdi Pendidikan dan Sosial Masyarakat (JAPSOM) menerapkan proses peer-review double-blind, di mana identitas penulis dan reviewer dirahasiakan satu sama lain untuk menjamin objektivitas penilaian.
Prosedur Review:
Pemeriksaan Awal (Editorial Screening):
Naskah yang masuk akan melalui tahap seleksi awal oleh editor untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan focus and scope jurnal, kelengkapan unsur-unsur artikel, serta kesesuaian gaya penulisan.Peninjauan oleh Mitra Bestari (Peer Review):
Naskah yang lolos seleksi awal akan dikirimkan kepada minimal dua reviewer independen yang memiliki kepakaran sesuai bidang kajian artikel. Proses review dilakukan secara double-blind.Keputusan Editorial:
Berdasarkan hasil review, editor akan mengambil keputusan:Diterima tanpa revisi
Diterima dengan revisi minor
Diterima dengan revisi mayor
Ditolak
Revisi dan Evaluasi Lanjutan:
Penulis diberikan kesempatan untuk merevisi naskah sesuai masukan reviewer. Revisi yang dikirimkan akan dievaluasi kembali oleh editor dan/atau reviewer.Keputusan Final:
Keputusan akhir atas publikasi artikel berada di tangan editor-in-chief berdasarkan rekomendasi dari reviewer dan editor bagian.
Jurnal Abdi Pendidikan dan Sosial Masyarakat (JAPSOM) applies a double-blind peer-review process, in which both authors' and reviewers' identities are kept confidential to ensure an objective and unbiased evaluation.
Review Procedures:
Initial Screening (Editorial Review):
All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team to ensure they align with the journal’s focus and scope, contain the essential components of a scientific article, and follow the journal’s formatting guidelines.Peer Review:
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The peer review process is conducted in a double-blind manner.Editorial Decision:
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor may decide to:Accept the manuscript without revision
Accept with minor revisions
Request major revisions
Reject the manuscript
Revision and Further Evaluation:
Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ feedback. The revised manuscript will be re-evaluated by the editor and, if necessary, re-reviewed by the original reviewers.Final Decision:
The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance lies with the editor-in-chief, considering the reviewers’ and handling editor’s recommendations.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
